As you may be aware, the UrbanPropertee Forum regularly plays host to a variety of robust conversations, varied opinions, and passionate discussions centred on real estate market – all of which are welcome.

Open and frank interaction has always been figured as an uncompromising hallmark of this platform, and it will remain so.

However, we strongly believe that – going forward – we need to introduce a proper set of rules to check the quality of the discussions that hold here.

Please note that a violation of these rules (outlined below) may result in the removal of offending posts, or the imposition of a temporary or permanent ban on the posting profile found to be repeatedly involved in the practice:

No Spam /Advertising / Self-promote in the forums

Spam, as it applies to the UrbanPropertee Forum, can be defined in any one of the following ways:

• Repeat postings of the same message, or the creation of multiple threads pertaining to the same question or issue.
• Posting a link for the purpose of selling, soliciting for or promoting something.
• Links promoting fundraising, advocacy.
• Unsolicited advertisements of goods, services, and/or other web sites
• Links to irrelevant external websites
• Posts with completely unrelated and/or irrelevant content
• Private messages to a large number of different users
• Posts that ask or tricks people into sharing their phone/Whatsapp numbers, email addresses, or other private information
• repeat replies and/or posts meant to flood the platform
• deliberately post lies or suppress information regarding a property or proposed transaction.

However, sharing of links to helpful and relevant web sites and resources is allowed if they are not used for a promotional purpose.

No Harassment: Remain respectful of other members at all times

Any post, discussion, reply, or message will be considered an instance of harassment if it lamppoons, insults or bullies a fellow member.

All posts should be professional and courteous. You have every right to disagree with your fellow community members and explain your perspective without using foul language(s).

You have no right on this forum to attack, degrade, insult, or belittle anyone or the quality of this community. It does not matter what title or power you hold in these forums, you are expected to obey this rule.

NOTE: Contents/posts that the UrbanPropertee Admin may categorize as 'harassment' as per its own discretion; particularly when based on the legitimate complaint of another forum member shall attract appropriate sanctions.

No Not-Safe-for-Work (NSFW) or Illegal posts

The posts category may, among other things, include:

• Copyright infringing material
• Defamatory material
• Relentless, conspiracist criticism of state and/or government institutions (that may be considered criminal under Nigerian law)
• Any material that can be categorized as Not Safe for Work (NSFW), obscene, racist, or discriminatory in any way

UrbanPropertee Admin reserves the right to categorize any post as unfit for publishing on these forums.

NOTE: In these special cases, such posts will be removed and/or not approved.

You will always find these rules featured on the front page of the UrbanPropertee Forum – unless this post is temporarily replaced by another important announcement.
